Paper Art
I always loved paper: from the colored pencil drawings of my childhood to the rapidograph ink pieces I created through my twenties and early thirties.
I love its structure, its texture, its ability to hold a story.
In 2024. i started experimenting with paper in a new way, for the first time cutting and layering my drawings in that medium, and it opened up new space for exploration.
I draw my art digitally (nowadays mostly in Procreate), then translate it into vector form, split to layers and prepare the files for laser cutting. Each layer is cut from heavyweight paper (200–500 g/m²), then carefully positioned, glued and assembled into a cohesive whole.
I enjoy every step of the process of making these artworks, and I’m excited to dive even deeper into the possibilities of this technique.
